Masaaki Kidachi (Professor, Ritsumeikan University)
Parasophia invites Professor Masaaki Kidachi (Ritsumeikan University), whom Emiko Kasahara consulted in her research for K1001K,* as the instructor for “Fieldwork on Modern Kyoto.” The tour will be given in connection with the same work, currently exhibited at Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art.
Masaaki Kidachi (木立雅朗)
Professor of Archaeology, Graduate School of Letters, Ritsumeikan University. BA, Faculty of Literature at Ritsumeikan University, 1984. Former director of the Ishikawa Prefectural Archaeological Center. Research keywords include archaeology, cultural anthropology, and cultural assets study and museology. Kidachi was consulted by contemporary artist Emiko Kasahara in her research on ceramic hand grenades for K1001K* (2015), her new work produced on the occasion of Parasophia: Kyoto International Festival of Contemporary Culture 2015.
* The last K in the title is intended to be rotated horizontally to face backwards.
