Short list announced for Kyoto Art Center’s “Exhibition Draft 2015”
June 12, 2014 (Thu.) 17:50
The short list for Kyoto Art Center’s “Exhibition Draft 2015” was announced on May 16.
Parasophia: Kyoto International Festival of Contemporary Culture 2015’s artistic director Shinji Kohmoto, who is acting as the judge for “Exhibition Draft 2015,” comments that “There were so many interesting proposals that I had to request for the short list to be expanded to six slots. I am looking forward to how the presentations will play out.” Kyoto Art Center’s Program Director and Parasophia Professional Advisory Board member Mayumi Yamamoto observes, “Mr. Kohmoto seemed to be selecting draft-like proposals with room for development, rather than completed plans, based on his own experience and instinct.”
The proposals and competitors on the short list are posted on Kyoto Art Center’s website. On June 14 (Sat.), the six competitors on the short list will make public presentations of their proposals, and one winner will be announced on a later date.
