Open House for Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2014
Sept. 4, 2014 (Thu.) 18:54
On the evening of Saturday, October 4, the Parasophia Office will be hosting an Open House as part of Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2014.
Nuit Blanche is an art festival held for one night every autumn in Paris, where galleries and art museums extend their hours specially for this night. Cai Guo-Qiang, one of Parasophia’s participating artists, presented One Night Stand (Aventure d’un soir), an event with fireworks on the Seine for Nuit Blanche 2013, and discussed the project for Parasophia’s Open Research Program 04, just over a week later.
Various versions of Nuit Blanche are now held around the world, and in Paris’s sister city of Kyoto, Kyoto City and Institut français du Japon – Kansai have been presenting “Nuit Blanche Kyoto” every year since 2012.
For Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2014, the Parasophia Office will open its doors to the public and present the opportunity to find out more about Parasophia’s activities thus far and what Parasophia has in store for the near future through video footage, reference materials, and more. Visitors may also have the chance to chat with the various individuals who are involved with Parasophia in many different ways. Come and join us!
